These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) and Tap Media Group (“Tap Media Group”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your access to and use of the AITA mobile application (“AITA” or the “App”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines.
1. The Service
AITA is provided solely as a debate and entertainment platform.
AITA does not provide any form of professional advice, including but not limited to:
- Legal advice
- Medical or mental health advice
- Psychological counseling
- Relationship or family advice
- Financial or professional guidance
All content, opinions, votes, and comments on AITA are user-generated and reflect the views of individual users only. AITA does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, truthfulness, or fairness of any content.
Use of the App is entirely at your own risk.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirement
AITA is available only to users who are 13 years of age or older.
By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 13 years old
- All information you provide is accurate and truthful
If we determine or suspect that a user is under the age of 13:
- We may require age verification
- Failure to provide verification will result in immediate account termination
Providing false or misleading information may result in account termination without notice.
3. Account Registration and Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
You agree not to:
- Share your account or login credentials
- Allow unauthorized access to your account
Tap Media Group is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your account.
Each account must be associated with a unique email address or Apple ID. Users may create multiple accounts only by using separate authentication credentials.
4. Acceptance of Terms
Acceptance of these Terms occurs:
- Upon account creation
- Through continued use of the App
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the App.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
AITA offers optional paid subscriptions (“Pro”), available on a monthly or annual basis.
All payments are:
- Processed exclusively through Apple In-App Purchases
- Subject to Apple’s payment terms and policies
Subscriptions:
- Renew automatically unless canceled through Apple
- Are non-refundable
- Remain active until the end of the current billing period after cancellation
Tap Media Group does not manage billing, refunds, or payment disputes.
6. User Conduct
You agree to use AITA in compliance with:
- These Terms
- Applicable laws and regulations
You must not misuse the platform.
Violations may result in:
- Warnings
- Permanent account termination
There is no right to appeal enforcement decisions.
7. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Engage in illegal or unlawful activity
- Attempt to manipulate votes or platform features
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use bots, scraping tools, or automated systems
- Interfere with the App’s security or functionality
Any prohibited activity may result in immediate termination.
8. User Content and Rights
You retain ownership of the copyright in content you submit.
By submitting content to AITA, you grant Tap Media Group a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, moderate, and process such content within the App.
Tap Media Group reserves the right to:
- Remove or restrict content at any time
- Take action without prior notice or explanation
Upon account deletion, all personal data and all user-generated content are permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
9. Moderation Disclaimer
While we make reasonable efforts to moderate content, we do not guarantee:
- Accuracy
- Completeness
- Appropriateness of user content
Tap Media Group is not responsible for user-generated content or moderation decisions.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tap Media Group disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Availability or uninterrupted operation
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tap Media Group shall not be liable for any:
- Emotional distress
- Loss of data
- Loss of profits
- Reputational harm
- Conflicts between users
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
You acknowledge that use of AITA is at your own risk.
12. Third-Party Services
AITA relies on third-party services including Apple and cloud infrastructure providers.
Tap Media Group is not responsible for:
- Third-party service outages
- Payment issues handled by Apple
- External links or third-party platforms
13. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it within the App.
Tap Media Group may suspend or terminate accounts:
- At any time
- Without notice
- At our sole discretion
Termination results in immediate loss of access to the App.
14. Force Majeure
Tap Media Group shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- System outages
- Apple service disruptions
- Natural disasters
- War, terrorism, or governmental actions
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable international laws and, where applicable, the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
16. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.
Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.
